Ways to Identify Your Perfect Venue

The wedding planning process is filled with important decisions. Many wedding planners will argue that the venue is the biggest and hardest decision for couples to make. The venue is the backdrop for your big day, and it sets the scene as each guest arrives. Each venue has different guidelines, and this one decision can affect so many other aspects of your big day. We’re sharing three ways you can identify your perfect wedding venue below!

Start Looking Early

Once you get engaged, schedule a few tours as soon as you can. Venues can book up quickly especially during the warmer months. Even if you aren’t ready to make a decision yet, it’s a good idea to understand your options and how they fit into your overall budget. Touring a venue can bring you clarity about which direction you want to move in when it comes to your big day. It always helps to see a venue in person so that you can understand the atmosphere and everything it has to offer.

Read Reviews

Have you looked up reviews about your wedding venue options yet? This can be a helpful tool that gives you an inside look at real experiences from real people. It offers insights about what to expect ahead of time, and sometimes reviews can give you the confidence you need to make a decision. Most venues won’t have 100% perfect reviews, but if you see a majority of rave reviews, that’s a great sign!

Ask About Additional Offerings

Every venue has unique offerings, and they aren’t always listed fully on the website. You can gain additional information by talking with the on-site wedding coordinator. Give them a call, or bring a list of questions when you tour the site in person. Some venues offer floral services, coffee bars, fireworks, specific catering options, and so much more.
