What is included in the service fee?

A service fee is an industry standard term which is not a gratuity. Simply put it is part of the fee that covers all of our expenses. Generally the service fee allows us to pay our employees including servers and bartenders (who are usually tipped employees) a wage that does not require them to be tipped.

Is there a gratuity?

Gratuity is not included or required. All staff for events are paid a wage that allows them to work without the need for a gratuity. Some clients who feel the staff went well above and beyond their expectations leave a gratuity directly with the staff. Back of House and Front of House staff do appreciate when it occurs but they are not expecting it.

I am looking to book a block of hotel rooms for our guests. Which hotels do you recommend?

Here is a link to a google search that will help you find area hotels. We work with virtually all hotels so just let them know you have a wedding with Olde Homestead Golf Club!

Are we able to bring sparklers for a send-off at the end of the evening?

As pretty as they may look sometimes venues, including Olde Homestead, have found them extremely dangerous to the bride and groom, guests, clothing and the venue. It is not something that is allowed.

I was thinking of hiring my own wedding planner. How can I go about doing that?

Olde Homestead provides an Event Manager to assist with your services and can help in many areas. Olde Homestead works directly with all of our clients and will not correspond with anyone but the clients directly. Use of a wedding planner is not something of value when working with Olde Homestead Golf Club.

Am I able to bring alcohol and food into the bridal suite while getting ready?

No, all food and beverage must be provided by Olde Homestead Golf Club. Our Liquor license governed by the PA Liquor Control Board mandates that all alcoholic beverages be provided and controlled by Olde Homestead Golf Club. Likewise there are no shots allowed during an open bar. Our Insurance mandates that all food (except baked goods) are provided by Olde Homestead Golf Club and we must ensure all Servsafe food protocols are followed for all foodservice at the facility.

I am having a hard time finding a good vendor that I can trust. Do you have any recommendations?

We do not make recommendations as most venues who have lists are paid lists. We can offer some suggestions as to who we have enjoyed working with in the past and feel their work is on point.
