Welcome to the website for Party for Poppa K, a charity event with a purpose of spreading positivity by celebrating life and reminding us to turn lemons into lemonade!

Last year, we had another record breaking year of fundraising and achieved our goal of #20in18 – we raised over $20,000 in 2018 with a total of $20,040!  This $20,040 was donated to support the efforts of positivity championed by the non-profit, the Lauren Pearl Halper Hospice Fund.

We have raised over $100,000 since 2004 to help non-profits turn lemons into lemonade and I am so grateful for the generosity and support of many, many people and organizations.   It is the collective effort of all of us that have made this a growing success.

Let’s aim higher and see how far we can grow this together!

In 2019, our fundraising hashtag is #pf25k: we aim to raise over $25,000 for Party for Poppa K in 2019 to support the efforts of positivity championed by the Validation Project, which is a global youth empowerment nonprofit organization working with K-12 students around the world to turn passion into positive action through field trips, mentoring and in-school kindness curriculum.  Help us make that happen.  #pfpk #pf25k #aimhigh

Please register today and make a donation or consider one of our sponsorship options!

Founded in 2004, Party for Poppa K is an annual charity golf tournament I started in memory of my father, "Poppa K," who passed away from cancer earlier that year.  I started the event with a two-part mission that continues to this day: (1) to bring people together to celebrate life and (2) to serve as a reminder that "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!  The proceeds from this tournament help support local non-profit organizations whose mission aligns with ours in helping to turn lemons into lemonade.

 Sincerely,
Pete Kareha
