Welcome Letter

The Northwestern Lehigh Girl's Basketball Booster Club will be holding its Inaugural Golf Tournament on October 1, 2011 at Olde Homestead Golf Club.

The Northwestern Lehigh Girl's Basketball Booster Club is sponsoring this annual golf tournament to raise funds for the Northwestern Girl's Basketball Program and 11 year old Lance Pierce and his family. The families of the Northwestern Girl's Basketball Team along with alumni, coaches and friends are excited for a fun filled day of golf at Olde Homestead Golf Club in new Tripoli, PA. Immediately following the golf tournament, will be a relaxing dinner. All the funds raised from the golf tournament will help to purchase needed equipment, provide training camps, pre-game meals for the players and other essential items needed for the safety of our student athletes.

A portion of the proceeds this year will also go to Lance Pierce and his family. Lance Pierce, son of Marshall and Christine Pierce, of New Tripoli was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Lance is currently a 5th grader at Northwestern Lehigh Elementary. Lance's father also recently had a stroke and is now unable to work. The family had to move to a ranch style home to accommodate Lance and his father, but must return to their previous home, which needs many renovations to accommodate them. Transportation is also not easy for the family without a handicap van. Through this fundraiser, we hope to provide the family with some much needed help.

Your support in any way will provide exposure for you as well as provide a great benefit to the young women involved in the Northwestern Lehigh Girl's Basketball Program and the Pierce Family.

We thank you in advance for your support for this cause that is so important.

Sincerely,

Billy Hallman
Committee Chairperson
