In 2011, The Center for Animal & Welfare took in 1661 animals. We have an annual operating budget of approximately $900,000; less than 8% of this money comes from municipal contracts and the county. The majority comes from donations and fundraisers, so your participation in this tournament is greatly needed and appreciated. The money raised in this tournament will go towards:
  • Daily supplies such as food, cat litter and cleaning products
  • Medical supplies such as vaccinations, antibiotics, and materials needed for spay/neuter surgeries
  • Microchips
  • All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and micro-chipped before leaving the Center. The cost of this for one animal (materials and labor) runs around $100-$150 per animal; by raising $1,500, you can help prepare 10-15 animals for adoption.
  • Sometimes animals comer to the Center in need of more extreme and sometimes lifesaving surgeries. These surgeries can cost from a few hundred to a few thousand.
