We are looking forward to another great year of golf at Olde Homestead Golf Club. Our event will take place on Friday July 16, 2010. The weather is sure to be beautiful and will be a great excuse to start your weekend early. This year's format will be an 8" cup, four-man scramble. There will be plenty of opportunities to win prizes in the many contests that will be held as well as the door prizes at the dinner. We are happy to announce this year's dinner will include lobster tail which will make for a wonderful way to end a great day on the course. We will also provide everyone a deli lunch between rounds from 11:30am - 2:30pm. There will also be an opportunity for those beginner golfers to come out and play in the 9 hole Par 3 mini tournament which will follow a one hour lesson from Olde Homestead's Head Teaching Professional. We would like to thank all of those who participate in this enjoyable event and help support the Livin' the Dream foundation and celebrate Mark's life with us. Previous Tournaments Held on May 22, 2008 was our Inaugural Mark Guensch Memorial Tournament. The idea was started by Dirk Postupack, who wanted to honor the memory of his friend's son. In just a short time this idea came together to create a golf tournament that would not only help to continually raise money for the Livin' the Dream foundation but also create a wonderful and enjoyable day for everyone involved. The foundation was able to raise in excess of $10,000. There were 180 golfers who participated and 210 people who joined us for the awards banquet and dinner. We kicked off the second year with many new additions. Along with the opportunity to win numerous and wonderful prizes, we were delighted to have trick shot artist Ben Witter perform his amazing talent for everyone to enjoy and have local Christian band Beyond Barriers perform a mini concert during dinner. The second year also introduced the mini 9 hole Par 3 tournament and a lesson with the pro. It was a big hit for those who are just starting out in the game of golf. Thank you for your continued support! |
